Meet Cierra K. Martin

My name is Cierra K. Martin, affectionately, known as "Ci-Ci", the Founder and Owner of My Birther's Keeper, LLC. Born and raised in Atlanta, my affinity for babies and children started when I became the neighborhood's babysitter while in middle school.

As time progressed, I envisioned myself becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife. It was during my studies at Boston University, that I became more aware of the maternal health disparities affecting Women of Color and was determined to serve as an advocate to improve maternal health outcomes.

Intrigued by the focus of reproductive health justice to empower women through advocacy and education, I embarked on my journey to become a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula.

I hold a Masters in Public Health, with a concentration in Community Assessment, Program Evaluation, and Maternal and Child Health.

My Passion and Advocacy

My Birther’s Keeper, LLC was founded out of a deep passion for equitable Maternal and Child Health outcomes and a commitment to Reproductive Health Justice. My mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality, and equitable labor and postpartum support to all women, regardless of their background or circumstances. Every woman deserves access to a safe, supported, and empowering childbirth experience.

The foundation of this work is rooted in the urgent need to address disparities in maternal health—especially the disproportionately high maternal mortality rates among minority women and marginalized communities. Systemic bias, unequal access to care, and a lack of emotional support too often result in preventable outcomes. As a Woman of Color, I saw the critical need for advocacy, education, and culturally competent care, and felt compelled to be part of the solution.

I'm dedicated to providing personalized and evidence-based support that respects and honors each family's unique journey. My goal is to ensure that every client feels informed, empowered, and supported throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum—helping to create safer and more satisfying experiences for mothers and families alike.

Your voice, your birth, my support.
